Department of Neurology
The Department of Neurology at Citi Neuro Centre offers patients of all age groups end-to-end care for diseases related to the brain, spinal cord, muscles and nerves. A wide range of disorders of the nervous system such as headache, stroke, epilepsy, vertigo, neck and back pain and other chronic pains, Parkinson’s disease, sleep disorders, neuropathies, memory problems and dementia and various other neuromuscular disorders are effectively handled here. It also manages neurological problems in children such as cerebral palsy, developmental delay, mental retardation and behavioural disturbances.
Electrophysiology
The Department has a well equipped electrophysiology lab where tests are conducted by experienced electrophysiology technicians. State of the art EEG and Video EEG are available to assess patients with difficult to diagnose epilepsy disorders. The neurophysiology laboratory assesses the spinal cord, peripheral nerves and the muscles, using top-of-the-line electrophysiological equipment for diagnosis.
Emergencies
Citi Neuro Centre provides round the clock support for medical and interventional acute stroke management by a multidisciplinary team which consists of neurologists, interventional neuroradiologists, neurosurgeons and critical-care specialists. The department also caters to emergencies such as acute hemorrhagic stroke, subarachnoid hemorrhage, myasthenia gravis, Guillain-Barré syndrome, epilepsy, cerebral venous thrombosis and acute demyelinating encephalomyelitis (ADEM).
Intensive Care
Our neuro-intensive care program is a multidisciplinary program dedicated to treating patients with the most severe and acute neurological disease. Our qualified team of critical care professionals provides treatment for patients with intracranial haemorrhage, subarachnoid haemorrhage, cerebral venous thrombosis. The well-planned integration of skilled specialists, neuro-nurses, neuro-intensive technicians, neuro anesthetics and neuro-counsellors have standardized the treatment protocols and raised the quality of care to the highest pinnacle.
Rehabilitation
We run a comprehensive, integrated and evidence-based neurorehabilitation program comprising of a multi-disciplinary team of highly skilled professionals that include psychiatrists, physiotherapists, neuro-psychologists and speech therapist, who strive towards teaching and re-training patients in mobility skills, communication and cognitive processes.
